This was a great episode, and it did not have to do with the overall idea of stopping the empire. This was an episode about a simple supplies run or, to make it sound even simpler, grocery shopping. And the two stars of the episode are Ezra and Zeb. It would seem the crew of the Ghost are in need of food and supplies, and having been cooped up together for a little while now, Ezra and Zeb’s constant bickering (usually with Chopper somehow instigating them) is getting on Hera’s nerves. So when... (continued)

The Ezra/Zeb thing was getting kind of annoying until this episode...

I didn't find it annoying, but I'm glad the addressed this situation in the second episode instead of letting it drag out. This was a fun episode.

Rebels continues its hot start with another episode that furthers the development of the team. This story chooses to focus on Zeb and Ezra, who become closer after their adventure while on a supply run. This buddy-buddy dynamic is a whole lot more fun than their bickering dynamic. They can now team up on Chopper or Kanan for giving them a hard time. I also like the dynamic of Kanan and Hera, who are like the mom and dad of the Spectres.

After the TV movie and the first two standard episodes, I have noticed how much more liberal Kevin Kiner is with using John Williams' classic Star Wars themes. In the Clone Wars series, these themes were used sparingly, which gave them more weight. The scores to these Rebels episodes utilize the themes in every scene. Although they might not carry as much weight since they are used so much, I still am loving the music. You can't go wrong with the Rebel Fanfare (they are rebels after all), the Force theme (Ezra is attempting to use the Force a lot), or the main Rebels theme (which is a version of the rebel fleet music in Episode VI).

I am reading/playing more Star Wars material than what's in the SWRO and one of these things is a browser game called Star Wars Rebels - Rebel Strike. It isn't supported by internet browsers anymore (Unity webplayer issues I guess), but I did watch gameplay from it. I couldn't believe that actually pays off in this episode. As Ezra and Zeb are running from the Empire, Zeb takes takes cover and strategizes his movement in the market. These few moments are very similar to the game. This is such a minor thing, but I just want to rationalize my OCD to consume every Star Wars Canon thing...
